I'm new to QuizMaker and loving it already! I am using the Slide View to create a custom background and layout. However, when I switch to the Preview, the size and placement of objects and text changes dramatically. Am I doing something wrong or is this normal?
Sounds like maybe a DPI issue. Articulate Studio '09 is only supported with a system DPI setting of 96. If you're using a DPI setting other than 96, you'll encounter erratic behavior in the desktop applications and the published output. The following list provides some examples of unexpected behavior that you may encounter:
* Elements of the application appear misplaced or distorted.
* When previewing, content is distorted.
* The published output is distorted or doesn't display correctly.
* Annotations are misplaced.
* Lengthy slide notes won't scroll when recording narration.
* Your logo doesn't display correctly.
To resolve these issues, change your system's DPI to 96. Here's how.
Thanks Peter for the feedback. I'm using Windows 7 machine. My PC is currently at "100%" or 96 DPI. Is there some other reason why this may occurr? I have uploaded some screen shots to show what's happening.
I'm not able to make them out very clearly at all, unfortunately, but you may also want to try adjusting the slide view zoom level to 100%. You can find that down in the bottom-left corner of your timeline.
I blurred them on purpose. The main thing that I'm noticing is the spacing. As you can see there is a lot of space below the text in the box on slide view, which leads me to believe that I can add more text. However, when I get to the preview, as you can see, the text is right at the bottom of the box. So, if I would add anymore text it would run over.
Interestingly enough! Changing the slide view to 100% provided a more accurate view of the real thing!!

Let us know if that helps...

Cool, glad to hear it, Lori!
Yeah, that zoom slider can make things... interesting... when working with spacing.
Glad you're back on track now
