"Submit" button not included on quiz questions; navigation not working

Nov 18, 2014

My short course includes knowledge checks and a final quiz. Last week they functioned perfectly. This week, the "submit" button has been replaced with the "previous" & "next" navigation buttons. So now there's no way for these questions to be submitted and the on-screen feedback does not appear. There is no way to specify which buttons appear on the player for these slides. Also, when you hit the "next" button, the frame won't advance. We (three other co-workers are troubleshooting) have tried everything we can think of, from slide & player properties to rebooting the computer. Can somebody shed some light on this? I'm attaching the file for review.

Unfortunately we were not able to figure this out. We attributed it to a corrupted file and I ended up pulling the entire project into Storyline instead.

Sorry I don't have better news for you.

This is an example of one.  This happens every time now - no Submit button, only Next/Previous.  Then after clicking Next on the first question, nothing happens.

This started occurring for us when pulling quizzes from QM'09 into QM'13, but now it looks like it's occurring on its own.  This one was (obviously) just built in QM, not within Presenter.

Good morning, Lea!

I'm having trouble recreating this in a Quizmaker 360 build 5.25.21221.0 sample file (click here to see a short recording of my test).

Can you tell me a little more about your experience?

  • Do you see this problem in any Quizmaker file or a certain one?
  • Is it happening during Preview, in the published output, or both?
  • Would you mind sharing the .quiz file so I can keep trying to replicate the behavior? You can send it to me privately by using this upload link
