System.AccessViolationException

Hi there, when working in quizmaker, we get this error message coming up after creating a new quiz. Any idea why, and how to fix it please?

Thanks

Martin

Hi Martin,

Just want to confirm some information with you, if possible. You mentioned that you see this error when opening a new quiz. Do you mean that you see this when launching Quizmaker, itself, or if you try to create a new quiz after having another quiz already open in Quizmaker?

Are you able to open any previously created quizzes? Or does this happen with any quiz?

Also, do you see this message when launching Quizmaker through Presenter, or when using Quizmaker on its own?

Thanks!

Hi Christine,

A colleague of mine had created the quiz, after having successfully created many quizzes previously. She said that a user had said he could not open the quiz as part of the course he was doing.

She emailed me the quiz and I could open it without problem. I checked all the settings and found no problems. Then I tried to run a preview, and at that point the error popped up.  I then tried to create another quiz and got the same result.  I got on the website blog and asked for help. I then reloaded Quizmaker from the Articulate website, and selected the “repair existing installation” option. After that all worked fine again.

I was still able to open previously created quizzes. I saw the error when loading through Presenter and on its own.  A very weird error that fortunately is now resolved.
