Trying to create QM template

Hi, 

I'm coming from an Captivate background and am new to the Articulate world, which might explain my difficulty.

I'm trying to build templates in line with our corporate branding. After some fits and starts, I was able to get the Storyline template built. However, I'm trying to do the same with Quizmaker, and am running into trouble.

First I created a quiz, and started with a multiple-choice question.I was able to set them up fine in the slide master. The problem comes when I try to add a text placeholder as a title. It makes a mess of my answers, and puts the quiz answers into this new text placeholder, while also leaving the box originally containing the answers as a simple text placeholder.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?

The first image shows my Q&A in position without any other elements. The second shows what happens when I drop the text placeholder into the master and reset the slide.
