Unable to Publish from Quizmaker into PowerPoint

Aug 20, 2014

I am learning how to use Articulate Quizmaker and Presenter. I've created a few different quizzes within Quizmaker, but when I attempt to publish it into PowerPoint, it is not going into PowerPoint

Steps used:

  • Open Quizmaker
  • Create a New Quiz
  • Create and click Publish
  • Receive confirmation pop up (see screenshots - first screenshot)
  • Go over to PowerPoint to confirm, nothing within presentation (second screenshot)

Items attemped:

  • Saved Quiz first
  • Refresh within PowerPoint
  • Attempted to publish with PowerPoint already open
  • Attempted to publish with PowerPoint not open
  • Saved PowerPoint after having published

I am also having an issue with not being able to insert into PowerPoint from Articulate tab, but will post this within the Presenter forums. Adding it here as it could possibly be all one issue.

Thank you for your help!

Hi Lisa and welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

I do not see another post from you, but they may be related as it sounds as if you are just encountering erratic behavior with your software.

First of all, when creating, editing, and publishing Articulate Presenter '13 courses, be sure you're working on your local hard drive (typically your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, such as file corruption, an inability to save changes, and loss of resources.

It sounds as if you may need to conduct a simple repair of your software as well.

Thank you, Leslie!

I haven't yet input the information into the Presenter forums as I'd wondered if they were indeed the cause of the same issue.

I am working from my C:\drive. All is stored on and run from my C:\drive. I am also saving onto my C:\.

I will attempt to run the fix. Per security restrictions within my company, I may not be able to run the update under my own login, but will see what we can do to 'jimmy' this for the fix. I will let you know if this resolved the issue

Thank you again -- Lisa
