Unique Identifier in SCORM course

Jun 21, 2018

For the SCORM courses being generated out of Articulate, there is an issue with the Manifest file when trying to upload into our ELM.  It is putting in a line that looks like this:
<manifest identifier="_5uwAlor9NiU_course_id" version="1.0"

But is Should look like this:
<manifest identifier="SCORM-MANIFEST" version="1.0"

We had to go in and manually update the file to make this change. I’m not sure if there is a setting in Articulate where you can define a manifest identifier so that it generates correctly. As we generate additional courses we can manually make this change but it would obviously be better if we did not have to.

Do you have any thoughts on why the manifest file is generating in a way that is incompatible with our system? Or what we can do about it?

Hi Elisha,

Yup, that identifier should be unique and is generated as a part of the publishing process. Has you  Learning Management System (LMS) admin advised you that it needed to be listed as you've shown? I've not seen a similar example before, but if your courses are working correctly when uploading into your LMS, I'll defer to their expertise.
