I've created a video with no sound in Replay and now I'm trying to add the narration. I can't get it too work. I've read a bunch of the posts but still no luck.
I just did the same thing in Camtasia and I was able to add the narration separately without a problem so I don't think it's my audio.
I'm not sure what steps you're using, but I recorded a quick Peek video on what I do to add audio after the fact. Take a look here and let me know if you have any questions!

That is what I've been doing and the timer is clicking along like it's recording but I don't see any purple wave activity like I see while you are recording. When I play it back there is no sound.
I've tried the exact same thing in Camtasia and the narration is recording and syncing with the video. I tried recording audio in Audacity and it's recording fine, so I can't figure out why it isn't in Replay.

If I record audio at the same time I record video it records the sound.
If I try to do a separate audio recording by clicking on Audio and selecting Record Mic it still does not work.
