Where I worked previously, I used Storyline and often used the customizing feature of the screen recordings to make interactive activities with the "Try Mode", the "Ungraded Assessment Mode" and the "Exam Mode". I now work with Studio '13 which includes Replay and was wondering if this kind of customization of screen recordings is also possible. I have not had much chance to play around with it, but have not seen that capability up to now in my search.
The ability to insert the screen recordings as step by step slides using try or test mode are specific to Storyline and not a part of the Replay recording. You can see a comparison of Storyline and Studio 13 here.
Lucie: I think the short answer is "no." The big deal with Replay is that allows you to add a webcam and other media elements (such as another video, audio, lower thirds) to your screencasts. To tweak the elements of the screencasts themselves (e.g. alter feedback learner receives, present a software simulation in Try Mode), you'll need Storyline. Hope that helps. --Daniel
