Hardware acceleration? "Failed to create D3D device"

Hi everyone,

I've been using Storyline without issue on my mac using VMWare Fusions running Windows 7 but have just installed Replay and can't get it to run.

The error message I get is:

Articulate Replay requires video hardware acceleration to run....Failed to create D3D device - is required video hardware available?

Anyone experienced this error? Is there an easy fix that you can share?

That error message is detailed here and you'll find information on the bottom regarding using Replay in a virtual machine and how to set up the Hardware Acceleration.

Thanks, Ashley.

VMWare Fusion has different settings to VMWare Player as outlined in the notes; but I have turned Hardware Acceleration on in my VWMWare Fusion Virtual Machine settings and I still get the same error message.

Anyone else had this problem? Any other ideas for solutions?

Have you also tried to repair Replay?
