Hi Mike - Sorry to hear that you ran into difficulty with this.
You mentioned resolution, so I wanted to be sure that you were utilizing 96 DPI. If not, see if that alleviates the issue. If so, I have some additional questions:
Hi Mike - Thanks for those details. I'm not sure that I've seen an issue reported outside of inserting the Replay into Storyline. Of course, this causes the recording to scale down to fit within the Storyline slide size as well.
You can also adjust the compression settings Storyline uses for images and videos when you publish your course. Just click the Quality property in the publishing wizard, then drag the Video quality and Image quality sliders to the right to increase the publish quality. (Note that higher quality values also result in larger file sizes, which could mean longer download times for learners with slow Internet connections.)
Also, since you're using an MP4 video, you can turn off compression altogether for the highest quality. Select each video placeholder in your course, go to the Options tab on the Storyline ribbon, and change the Compression to None.
If that does not fit your scenario or you need further assistance, please be sure to share your Replay project file so that we can take a look. If you cannot share it here in the forums, please be sure to share here privately.
