How to improve the quality of mp4 output in Replay

Mar 16, 2016

Hello!

I'm making video's in replay and when I play the video in replay, the sound is OK. But once exported to a mp4 format, the quality of the sound is under my expectations.

I 've searched for the possibility to configure the level of quality you want for the exported video but I didn't found anything.

If anyone has advice on the recoring material to use (standing micro, headset with micro,...) it would also be nice because the quality of sound I got now is not satisfying. There is always a soft 'wind' noise in the backrgound which is not qualitative.

Thanks in advance for your help.

If you are using the mic on your computer, you will probably be disappointed.  I purchased this simple plug in USB microphone and am quite pleased with the quality (https://www.amazon.com/Blue-Snowball-Condenser-Microphone-Cardioid/dp/B006DIA77E/ref=sr_1_4/163-4874091-0344952?ie=UTF8&qid=1487172983&sr=8-4&keywords=blue+snowball+microphones).

I also usually double the wavelength size to amplify my voice when I edit the recordings.  This way they can always turn me down but it would be disappointing to have the voice not be loud enough after all the editing work.

Hello Daniel - Articulate Replay compresses the published output to achieve the best balance between file size and video quality. Currently, there isn't an option to turn off compression, but that would make a great feature request.

Are you adding this to Storyline perhaps as there are some quality adjustments that can be made to optimize prior to publishing. Just a thought.
