Images in Replay

Jul 29, 2014

Is it possible to actually drop images in to Track A in the middle of the screen cast? I know I can drop them in at the beginning or the end, but it would really be tremendous if it were possible to do it in post-production and not have to pull them up on the screencast due to that not being incredibly smooth as a viewing experience.

Is this possible or should I go ahead and re-shoot and pull the images up during the screencast and try to edit out the rough cuts.

That actually brings up another question, are rough cuts actually possible to edit? Or do I need to publish to .mp4 and then use a video editor to edit midstream?

Thank you!

Alternatively If your images are just slides of a PowerPoint, thePowerPoint slides could be saved as PNG images and then just imported into Replay.

You can add multipleimages at one time. Just click the IMAGE button in replay and highlight multiple images. You would need to browse to where you saved your PowerPoint as PNG images. The Images are saved as Slide1, Slide2 etc.

All you images will imported into replay with 3 seconds each. You can then editing the timings as required.

Your audio could then just recorded directly in Replay orjust supplied as sound file.

This method would allow tweaking of the slidesand timing without the need to re-record the whole process.

Good luck with your project.

Thank you Leslie and Trav. I have come up with a similar solution Trav. I am now recording my screencast in smaller separate segments, which Replay treats as each their own clip. This gives me several points along the entire video at which I can go in and make changes, either trim or adding new images. It has worked quite well so far, and thanks to the automatic transitions the piece remains coherent.

I will definitely test the above method as well. Thanks for the help!
