Help, I have a deadline Monday morning ! I'm on vacation and after talking with articulate staff yesterday went and bought Surface 2 tablet, 64GB has office and says windows too and purchased replay last night and when I went to download said something like not supported or compatible on the device, UGH! Any suggestions? Should I buy a windows package with everything on it and try again? Thanks
Did you pick up a Surface 2 Pro or reg Surface 2? Windows RT doesn't support installation of programs that aren't available on the Windows Store. It's like a light / portable version. The Surface Pro comes with the full version Windows 8 and would support installation of any windows program you'd install on a desktop (as long as it would fit).
Yep. That should do the trick. It's quite a bit more $$ than the RT version. But you'd be able to run practically anything on it. Pretty well, too. My wife tested a range of things from photo / video editing to video games. All ran pretty respectably.
I'm a Mac person and the Surface Pro has my respect:)
I am trying to create a screencast on my surface pro with Articulate Replay, and it magnifies one section of the screen and will not show the whole screen. I have tried changing the dimensions. Is there something simple I am missing?
I know you mentioned in another thread that you were having difficulty with the Replay recording, but I didn't know it was on a surface pro. I don't see specific documentation regarding the Surface for Replay, but there is information here for Storyline that I'd expect to be similar. As Steve shared above, it seems that as long as it has the full version of Windows 8 it should be working ok.
