I have isolated the problem a bit more. It seems that the program will produce the MP4 with just the imported MP4 but not if i then try and import a graphic or other screen recording.
It seems that when you do not have the videos blend to each other that the application doesn't crash. It is only when you have the two sources fade into each other that the problem seems to appear.
though the video still appears black when played in both VLC and Media player
Hi Ari! The mp4 that you shared here was blank for me as well. I took your Replay file and published myself and did not get blank results, but probably not what you were looking for either. Did you import the graphics in?
I have the opposite problem. I import a graphic. Then I import a recording created through skype for business. It is in MP4 format already. If I play the preview, everything seems fine... at first. However, if I pause or publish or do anything to further edit the file, the audio is gone. I can't seem to keep the audio from the imported movie; it just disappears. Not even while I am working on clipping the start and end points or adding an opening or closing graphic. It isn't like I am making major edits. Just a graphic up front and at the end and a little trimming to the movie.
I had this happen to me recently with another project and it took me 10 attempts of starting from scratch and publishing before the audio stuck and was in the exported file.
The interesting thing is that I can often get the audio back by simply dragging the movie from track A to track B or vice versa. However, this never seems to be a permanent fix and never guarantees I won't be moving everything back to the original track again. I would be surprised if you couldn't replicate this with some large files.

Were you ever able to figure this out? I am newer to using Articulate Replay and I continuously have this issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the applications the way other discussion threads suggest and I have not been able to come up with a solution. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
I wasn't. The best solution I had was to switch the tracks (constantly). If you can share the content, I would recommend that you reach out to the support team as Leslie advised.
I appreciate you reaching out to our support team on this as well. I see that Christopher is taking a look and you should be hearing from him via e-mail soon.
I am experiencing the same issue as Ari... I have tried every way to publish to Articulate 360 and also video... I even recorded it in Peek only to have the video and no audio. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I am on a timeline for my job and its so frustrating that it doesn't just work the first time.
Thanks so much for responding back. I have uninstalling and reinstalled the program and continue to have the problem. I have forward the issue to our IT department and am waiting to hear back from them. If they are unable to determine what the problem is I will forward the replay video for you to take a look at.

Leslie,
thanks for looking at this. the file you sent back though is a odd one. It superimposes one video on another, and half the screen isn't full colour.
I agree Ari! I knew it wasn't what you were looking for :) I'll get this submitted to our Support Engineers to look into further.

Why does my audio keep dropping?
Hi Owen!
I'm not sure that I've heard of this issue before. Do you have a sample file that you could share with our support team to take a look?
Unfortunately, I don't.
My files show/demonstrate proprietary Dell content. :(
It seems that Replay consistently struggles when the imported video is long or a is a large file.

I understand Owen. Well thanks for mentioning. I'll keep it on my radar :)

Thanks Owen :)
Update from the guy who started all this :)
It appears that it is some kind of conflict with our internal profile security settings and some back end coding from the replay side.
if I produce the project and then take it to a non secure off network machine, it publishes fine.
No worries Ari - glad you were able to get it sorted. Thanks for popping in to share.

Hi Sheila,
Thanks for reaching out and letting us know that you are running into a similar issue.
I wasn't sure if you saw the resolution that Ari shared here as it seemed to be his network causing the issue.
I also see that my colleague, Alyssa, reached out to help you in this conversation too.
As she mentioned, if you need us to take a look you can share your Replay file with us here.
