I loooove the video (on track A in Replay) I took with my webcam of my peer talking about the demo that I performed simultaneously (on track B of the same recording in Replay) but I need to make some edits to my demo video. Is there a way to separate the tracks and use one of them for a future Replay creation?
Hi, Kendra -- Thanks so much for your question! I may not be totally clear on what you need, but have you had a chance to take a look at this great article on Tips for Editing Replay Videos?
The article you referenced is helpful but does not discuss my question. Can you separate the 2 tracks that are linked by a "lock" symbol in Replay and reuse them with other tracks?
Hi, Kendra -- Thanks so much for the additional details and for the screenshot! Unfortunately, if these were recorded simultaneously, there is no way to "unlock" them, as this would be by design to prevent things from becoming out of sync.
Perhaps you may want to consider publishing it and then using another tool to edit out the second video? I will defer to the community to share recommendations and advice on the types of tools they have found the most helpful.
Here's a workaround: To split tracks A and B, set the mix so it shows only the A track. Next, publish the video, which will be only track A. Next, do the same for the B track. They are now separate.
