Replay screen capture size?
Aug 12, 2014
Hi, I'm relatively new to Replay as the bulk of my work for the past couple years has been in Adobe. I need to do a Replay recording of a fairly detailed screen (think Excel) but am unsure of how to set the size of the capture window. In Cp I usually capture at 1004X652.
The tutorial says to pick the window size or set the red box, but is thin on how to decide. Any guidance or references would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Hi Barry!
You would just re-size according to what you wanted 'included' in the capture.
You can check out this tutorial if you'd like.
Hi and thanks!
Yes, that much I understand. My question is what happens when I play it back inside Presenter? For example, if I capture a very large area and then play it back within the confines of presenter, will the user be able to see enough detail or will it be too small?
I think I may just have to try out some various combinations and see what I discover.

Hi Barry,
How it appears in your Presenter course will also depend on what size your Presenter course is set to. Presumably if you need to record a very large area, and are not using a Presenter course size of similar dimensions it will scale down to fit within the screen and therefore make elements smaller.
Yes, that's my understanding too. I'll just have to try some combinations. Thanks!
Barry - Did you find the right screen capture size for data? I'm having the same problem. I need to do a Screen Recording with fairly small data and it will be replayed on Articulate Online via lots of different people. I'm also trying to get some guidance on a suggested screen capture size for a screen with lots of detail.
