2 size screens

Jul 02, 2015

I am bringing in a slide that is using 720 x 540 format into a 980 x 735 story file

When i do this, the whole slide goes askew- there are tons of triggers and the images get displaced.  Any quick solution on how to resize this slide so i don't have to go the painstaking route of copy and pasting over 100 triggers, all 10 layers etc etc

Hi Roma,

We typically recommend setting the story size at the beginning because as you've seen it'll change the set up to scale to fit the new slide slide. You can determine how this occurs as detailed here:

  1. If you increase the story size, choose one of the options in the section that appears called If new size is larger:
    • Scale To Fit: This scales existing slide content to fit proportionately within the new size. Objects that have locked aspect ratios will maintain their ratios. Objects that don't have locked aspect ratios may change shape, depending on the story size you choose. (Learn more about locking aspect ratios.)
    • Fill Background: This keeps the current slide background and applies it to the new size, but it doesn't resize your slide content. If you choose this option, use the corresponding Story Position drop-down to choose where existing content should appear on your slides.
  2. If you decrease the story size, choose one of the options in the section that appears called If new size is smaller:
    • Scale To Fit: This scales existing slide content to fit proportionately within the new size. Objects that have locked aspect ratios will maintain their ratios. Objects that don't have locked aspect ratios may change shape, depending on the story size you choose. (Learn more about locking aspect ratios.)
    • Crop: This crops your content to fit within the new size. If you choose this option, the Next button will become active. Click Next to define the crop area for each slide in your project. Drag the green box to indicate the portion of each slide you want to keep. Click Apply to All Slides, or use the green arrows to edit each slide individually.
