You may see a hover or an action on a Step by Step screen recording slide before the mouse actually moves. You can use Action Fine Tuning to sync the hover and click action with the mouse click. Take a look at this tutorial for more details on how to do that. I hope this helps!
The recording is not capturing what I'm recording- the mouse slides across the screen at whim. I have restarted Storyline several times (it worked correctly once), but cannot get the action to record correctly. Please help.
What are you trying to capture? What version/update of Storyline are you using?
Have you tested capturing something else, such as navigating around the E-Learning Heroes site to see if it's the tool you're capturing or Storyline? Also, if you're capturing a web-based application, I'd recommend using Internet Explorer vs. Google Chrome. The latter does not report as much information to Storyline while recording.
