I am looking at building a course where the user MUST have some sort of score at the end for 508 compliance reasons. What i'm trying to figure out is, is it possible for Alt-Text to read a variable? How else could I have the score presented to the user to make it 508 compliant?
Has anyone run into this and what was your solution? The client doesn't want to move forward unless a score can be presented to the user as 508 compliant.
Yes, a variable will be read off whether you use ALT-text or not. The variable text (%TextEntry%) is a placeholder so whatever the user types in will be read off. Same with a score! If a user receives a score of 90% then that will be displayed/read off instead of %Results.ScorePercentage%.
I have a sample course that I created and recorded to show you how a score will be read off. You can find the link here.
