Accessibility and Screen Readers

Hi there,

I've been looking through the boards and I'm still having a difficult time (1) getting my screen reader to read the text from my tutorial and (2) finding an example where the screen reader reads the text. 

I've tried Microsoft Narrator and NVDA in IE, FireFox, and Chrome. 

The tab order works, I can see the yellow box, but the reader only says "Tab" as I move through the slides. 

My example is here: http://webassets.library.tamu.edu/public/files/tutorials/articulate/citationstutorial/story.html (note: I still need to remove some objects from tab order). Can anyone verify that a screen reader is reading the text? 

Does anyone have any examples they know work that I could try?

Hi Elizabeth,

We don't have an official examples since 508 compliance is determined by the individual author based on the users they need to accommodate for, but you may want to take a look through the information below for general ideas and guidelines:
