Accessibility LANGUAGES
Oct 03, 2017
So I have a client that requires Accessibility for their training course in multiple languages. What I am having trouble with is triggered buttons.
In the course I have a ">" text symbol acting as a next button for my slides with the Accessibility box checked and translated from english to french so it reads "suivant" however when our client tests this course in JAWS Screenreader the ">" symbol bypasses the assigned Accessibility text and defaults to reading "next button" in English. Which makes me now realize that none of my triggered buttons actually read what I have assigned them to read rather they default to what the button actually does (ie. "menu button" "close button" "next button" "previous button" etc.)
So my question is... why is storyline not reading the Accessibility Text assigned to a triggered text or image file?
Please help ASAP!!! Thanks,

Hi Cody,
Thanks for your post! I want to be sure I understand your set-up.
Do you have a textbox on the slide with the > symbol? Did you use "suivant" as the alternate text like I did in the screenshot below?
Also, does the player include the default navigation buttons, or did you disable those?
