Accessibility of Storyline (rather than the output)

Jul 19, 2021

I am a Dragon (speech to text) user and I have been really encouraged to see improvements in how Storyline outputs work with assistive technologies like Dragon.

However, what I can't seem to do, is get Dragon to work with Storyline for me as a content creator. At the moment, my disability is such that I can use a keyboard and mouse but it is just difficult. Over time, I may become more and more reliant on Dragon but no less keen to continue in my job as an eLearning designer.

Are there any other Dragon users out there?

Has anyone succeeded in getting Dragon to work with Storyline from a developer perspective?

Rise is pretty good and I can mostly use Dragon to create Rise products because it is web-based (though it needs a few little fixes).

Hi Nicki, I just posted a keyboard command set for Dragon/SL if that's useful?

I'm new to Dragon and am just picking it up, though my main use for it is for occasional longform writing, and reducing the amount of keyboard use for my left hand, since I have the beginnings of arthritis in one of my fingers. I find it a lot mentally harder than just typing!
