Accessibility with Storyline

Dec 04, 2012

Hi all.

I am using a screen reader (Jaws 14) to tab through the content of one of the projects I have created in Storyline. The problem is that it seems that the order in which objects are read by the screen reader seems to be a bit random. It correctly tabs straight to my first button (this is an image made into a button), then tabs across to an introduction section, then back to button 2 and then button 3. I am completely stumped as to why it should read the introduction section in between reading button 1 and button 2. I have read that the screen reader will read the objects in the order they appear in the timeline in Storyline.

Any ideas?

I've included a sample .story file as an attachment. I have basically recreated the error in this file.

Hey Justin, welcome to the forums!

And thanks for the test file. It looks like you're bumping into an issue that we've shared with our QA team. We're working hard to get it resolved and give more consistency to how the accessibility box navigates through a slide. Thanks for posting, and I'll be sure to update here when we have news. Welcome again!
