Accessible vs Non-accessible quiz results

Dec 11, 2019

Hi team,

I am working on a module that has some purely visual (drag and drop) quiz questions, so I have also created audio accessible versions of these. I have variables setup to take users via the accessible questions if they choose to. I want to set my results slide to consider either the audio accessible ones or the visual quiz questions, but not both.

Testing currently gives a lower score than the user achieved as the results slide is considering ALL questions, including the ones the learner doesn't even see based on their accessibility selection.

Any help how to navigate the logic here would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Neil

Hello Neil!

You've come to the right place for advice! I know others in the community have built similar courses so I'll give them room to share their expertise!

The Results Slide is going to include whichever questions you've checked in the "Edit Results Slide" section. If there are multiple versions of the questions than I would leave it to variables to track the progress depending on which questions are answered.

I'll be interested to hear what tips and tricks others have!

You definitely have to branch it out. There are two ways:

  1. Create separate SCORM quiz files. One for visual and other auditory. At LMS level, you can give access to specific SCORM quiz depending on the user type/role/id.
  2. Create a branching scenario using a T/F variable which leads to the appropriate quiz scene as per selection. Here, users can choose either and it has less control than LMS if there are multiple attempts.

On the result slide for each quiz you can select which questions should count in that particular quiz result. See attached two drag drop quizzes separated by choice with their own result slide and scores.
