I have a course that I would like to publish to run in the Articulate Mobile Player on my iPad. I published the content with the "Use Articulate Mobile Player for iPad" option checked. I uploaded the files to my web server, but had to add a password to the directory because the course has confidential data. Unfortunately, I am unable to launch the course in the player because of this password.
Is there another way I can add this content to the mobile player?
As far as I know, the Mobile Player doesn't currently support any type of authentication (other than via the TinCan LMS standard). See here for some info: http://community.articulate.com/forums/t/35758.aspx
In addition to the thread Michael shared, there is additional information in this tutorial and I've copied the relevant portion below:
If your LMS requires a login, learners might not be able to use the Articulate Mobile Player, because browsers cannot pass security credentials to iPad apps unless the LMS supports Tin Can API. You'll need to test your published output in your particular LMS environment if you plan to allow viewing in Articulate Mobile Player.
