Add state rotated object?

Aug 28, 2014

After creating an elaborate free form drag and drop, I was bummed to realize that users cannot rotate objects in the Player! (Why not? I can think of so many situations where this would be needed to achieve the learning target.)

I thought a work around would be to create a new state for the object, in which it is rotated to the desired angle. Then I would set the object to change to the rotated state when it was dropped into the correct target. However, I cannot figure out how to create a new state where the object is rotated. When I rotate the object in the new state, the normal state "mirrors" the new rotation.

Any tips? Hard to believe rotation is not available as a state OR in drag and drop...

Hi Nick. Thanks for the response. Before I saw your post, I had done almost this exact work around. However, I set the drop items' initial state to 'hidden' (vs. using the transparency feature) and it still works. I have two triggers set, as you described 1) when the drag object is dropped in the target, it changes its state to 'hidden' and 2) when the drag object is dropped in the target, the the drop object changes its state to 'normal'. Guess either way works - thanks again!
