I have created a numeric entry box so that my students can adjust their budget categories. I have placed this box on top of the old text because of space. I wanted to add the variable with their old amount as the placeholder in the numeric entry box, but when I publish the file, the reference is shown in the box and not the actual variable. Does anyone know if it is possible to have a variable as a placeholder? Thanks in advance.
While there isn't a way to add a variable reference to a placeholder, you could add the variable reference to a text box next to the text entry field. Check out this quick sample I put together to see what I mean.
