Adding a PDF

May 14, 2020

Hi all! I have a franchisee that wants to assign various PDF documents to her caregivers. I uploaded the documents to our LMS. The only issue is, the learner can open the course and immediately close it out and it's marked as completed. The learner didn't read any of the content let alone at least scroll through the pages. My thought was I could add one page per slide in Articulate and they would at least have to click through all of the slides. But I can't seem to find a way to easily do that short of handtyping the content in and adding a scroll bar. Is there a way to add a PDF page?

You could grab each PDF page as an image. For a full page, you'd probably have to insert the image into a scrolling field. I've used SnagIt for that sort of thing. You just have to make sure you can capture the pages at a high enough resolution.

BTW, this is a classic situation. Customers want to "know" that someone has looked at the content. But, really, the only way to check whether someone actually looked at anything is to ask them questions that could only be answered by looking at the content (or already being familiar with it. In other words, no simple T/F questions that anyone could guess the right answer.
