I have a drag-n-drop interaction. I want the learner to drag previously introduced icons to a drop target. I the learner to be able to see in the form of a tooltip, the name of the icon when they click to drag it.
How do I do that? My understanding of the Accessibility function is for the purpose of the screenreader. But I want a visual where you click the icon and see the name of it.

You could play around with the states like hover, down, or selected.
Hover and down will change but may stay in the states when you drag and drop, unless you have a trigger to change it.
Selected requires clicking to select and deselect.
I created a quick tutorial with some ideas on how to add tool tips
