I'm trying to add an exit animation of Spin & Shrink after a Motion path using the same image. I can't get the exit animation to wait until the motion path has completed. The image always spin & shrinks before the motion path has completed. I've tried all sorts triggers, but nothing seems to work.
I believe it has to do with how long your exit animation is compared to how long your motion path is timewise. Also, the exit animation is tied to the timeline, so you may need to pause your timeline before any animation happens.
Have your powder graphic with the Exit animation on it end on the timeline before the end of the timeline. This way it will perform the animation on exit.
If you look at his image, the motion path does not happen until the image is clicked. so your example wouldn't work if the timeline ended before the user clicked the image.
I put a duplicate image (powder) on its own layer. The layer timeline is set to 5 seconds because the move animation is 2 seconds and the exit animation is 3 seconds. This layer has the animations.
When the base layer powder image is clicked, it shows the layer and changes the base layer powder image state to hidden.
Exactly, if there are more things that need to happen on the timeline before the user can click the image, then just pause the timeline and then make sure the motion path and then exit animation have enough time to run before the end of the timeline after the pause.

Thanks for letting me know, didn't catch that part, fixed and updated the link. Just pause timeline on start, resume on click.
Here's an example for you to take a look at.
