If you're familiar with Camtasia you'll know what I'm referring to. Is there a way to add an animated circle or square shape animation to Storyline the way you can in Camtasia, to draw attention to something?
And is there a way to add spotlights in Storyline? I'm familiar with the hack on making something a background image, then creating the shape and fill with the background image, etc. But has anything been added so that you can just fill the outside of a shape like you can in Captivate?
For the first part, it is possible to animate circles/shapes to a certain extent. Basically, you create an entrance animation and an exit animation on it. Then create 2 triggers, one that sets the shape to hidden once the entrance animation completes. and the other sets the shape to normal once the exit animation completes.
As for the second part, I'm not aware of a way to accomplish that in a straightforward way.

Thanks I took your idea and added a wipe animation in and out and it gives me something I can work with.
I'm struggling the the highlight. Hoping this gets added to the next release...
