Adding check boxes to an Storyline file

Apr 09, 2020

I have imported a PPT file into Storyline and where there are three true/false questions on a page I have been able to add checkboxes so you can tick the appropriate response but the client now wants navigation to the next slide disabled unless you have ticked the three correct answers. I have been able to get it to stay on the page unless you tick three correct answers but it will also move forward if you tick all of the answers as long as the correct ones are included. Is there a simple way to solve this?

Hi Roger,

There are two ways I would approach this one.

The first option would be to convert the slide to a freeform question slide and have the slide advance only if the correct answer was given (i;e. only the three correct items were selected).

The second option, if you didn't want the slide to be an actual freeform question slide, would be to allocate a True/False variable to each check box, adjust the variable to True when the check box is selected and then advance to the next slide if the three correct check box variables are True, but have a condition that the remainder must be False.

Hope this helps.
