Adding complicated Variables :)
Sep 30, 2014
This one should make you think
I want to create a slide that will replicate Pythagoras's Theorem using sliders.
Slider A will let a user add a number to Side A of the triangle
Slider B will let a user add a number to Side B of the triangle
Based on the two numbers chosen, Side C will display the correct length using the theorem equation.
I have set up 3 Variables for each A. B and C and I am having difficulty creating a trigger action that will compute C based on A and B
I hope this makes sense.

Hi Darren
As Square root cannot be easily calculate you are going to have to use javascript
See this example
Not perfect by a long way but should help you
Phil beat me to it . Here is my version, using JS.
Excellent example thank you.
It might be a nice feature for a future release to allow calculation inputs into a variable:
For Example: Variable C = Root ((Variable A)2 + (Variable B)2)
Opens up endless possibilities.
Funny how we took the same approach
Well, math is math! Forgot to include my .story file, see attached.
