Adding Scores to Drag and Drop

Dec 02, 2014

Hi I would like to add scores which add up into the last result slide. But it is a drag and drop activity that I would like to add scores to. Can anyone help me with some instructions or even better a demo slide where I can see the triggers etc.

Hi Shahnaz,

This is a really basic drag and drop, but it has a score - are you looking for something more customized in terms of the score based on what the user drops? If that's what you're looking for it'll involve a bit more set up in terms of variables such as the examples in this thread.

Yes that's right , I want to add scores based to what the user drops. Unfortunately I cant open the demo slide in the thread, would you have any that you can send me please.

Hi Shahnaz,

I didn't have any difficulty opening the files - I've reattached the first one here. It's a SL1 document, so you can open with SL1 or SL2 and then upgrade it.  On the second page Mike Taylor shares another one.

Also, just an FYI when you reply via email it includes your signature in the reply so you're welcome to update that and remove it if you'd like.

Hey there, Rita.  At a very basic level, I think you can get what you need to allowing multiple attempts (which will generate the Try Again feedback layer), and editing the feedback layers to include text references to the Results.ScorePoints variable (you'll need a results slide to generate those variables).

I'll attach an example.  That's a very basic solution, so for further design advice, I defer to our community.

I wasn't sure what you meant by timing, though?
