When I add a slide layer, the whole slide layer turns white. I cannot see what is behind it. When I add my info to the layer and set the trigger for the layer to appear, I get the layer but everything is white. Am I missing something simple? I want a blurb of information to show up when a user clicks a certain area on the slide. Thanks in advance.
It is not checked. My slide layer properties looks just like yours above. I have shut down Storyline and re-opened the project to see if it was just a bug, but I get the same issue.
I changed the transparency of the background of the new slide layer. That seemed to work. If you create a layer, do you know what transparency your layer is at? Mine was set to 0%.

Hi Brad,
Can you take a look at your layer's properties and make sure "Hide objects on base layer" is not active?

and what if you try creating a new slide with a new layer... is the background of the layer still white?
Do you use a template with a plain fill?
Can you think of other changes you would have made to the project that could change its appearance?

Thanks Brad, just came here looking for a solution and yours worked! Layer>Design>Background Styles>Fill>100%>Apply to all
