Adjusting Results.ScorePoints Variable?

Feb 11, 2019

I've got a course built by someone else that I'm updating. They have a couple of 508 non-compliant drag-and-drop interactions to for which I've created alternatives in a separate scene.

The problem is that the items in question are quiz items that contribute to the final pass/fail score for the course. If I cut a path around them, the Results.ScorePoints variable doesn't get incremented on those slides. And, if the alternative items are made part of the overall score, it affects the passing percentage, because now it's based on -- let's say -- 12 items rather than 10, two of which are guaranteed to be incorrect because they've been skipped over.

What I'd really like to do is capture points from correctly answered alternative items in their own variable, then add it to Results.ScorePoints going into the results slide. However, I see no way to do that. I can add Results.ScorPoints to another variable, but not the other way around.

Ideas, anyone? I'm not a Javascript guy, so can't personally go that route.
