Adjusting slide number, NOT re-arranging slides - is this possible at all?

Sep 11, 2017

Hi all, so I have my sequence of slides and they're in the correct order so nothing needs to be moved in storyview.

The current system is 1.10, 1.11, 1.12 etc.

However, what I would like is 1.10a, 1.10b, 1.11a, 1.11b, 1.12, 1.13, 1.14a, 1.14b etc.

Is there any way of doing this?

All of the information I've found so far revolves around reordering and resetting the number sequence etc, but nothing with regards to my query.

Any help appreciated.

Hi Susi, thanks for replying.

I know you can rename the slides, but it doesn't let you change the slide numbering, this seems to be fixed.

It's for reviewing purposes.  Essentially the content authors have a template which they've created (a storyboard).  They've scripted each slide out and for reviewing/revision purposed they've numbered it using the Storyline numbering convention i.e. 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc..

When a change needs to be made they can contact the developers (i.e. me and others) inform them of the change and what slide it occurs on.  Some of the scripts are hundreds of pages long so makes life a lot easier.

The slide numbering on some of the modules for certain slides gets a little difficult as they have for example created 1.10a, 1.10b, 1.10c.  Storyline doesn't seem to let me renumber in this way.
