I want to use a YouTube video in a course I'm building, but when I insert it as a web object (because I want it to work on iPads) I can't seem to change the size.
If I use Options to change the size, it just shows a segment of the video, and the user has to scroll to see what's happening to the right or at the bottom.
How can I scale the video so it fits into my screen and yet still shows the full hight and width while playing.
When you insert a youtube as a web object, you should be able to select the object and resize using the drag option. If this is not working, are you able to share the link for the you tube so we can test it? Also please confirm that you are working locally with your files.
Thanks for sharing the link. I was able to insert this into a file and change the size of the object by dragging the corners. You can hold down the shift key to make sure it scales properly.
Attached is the file with 2 different size windows.
I'm having a similar issue. I need to embed a youtube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zIEIvi2MuEk) as a web object in order to play on the iPad, and the video appears away from the original placement of the web object in the .story file. I've tried to adjust the size of the web object and get the same result. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
Thank you so much, Michael! Apparently the problem is only in IE. I tested your link on Chrome & Firefox and it looks as it's supposed to. On IE, it's still not positioned correctly. Any ideas?
Not sure if this was the solution, but I changed the player size to "scale player to fill browser window" and it worked in IE! Thank you again for your help Michael.

Hello Emily,

Hm, I uploaded your file to my server here. The video is placed correctly when I run it on my iPad in the player app...
and when I run it in Safari.

I run IE11 and the video is centered there too.

Maybe because we're on IE8?
