Adobe Flash Message Displayed When Viewing a PDF Added to Resources

Aug 02, 2016

I added a PDF document as a resource to my course.  Once I published, I clicked the link in the Resources section and an Adobe Flash Player message was displayed, stating "Do you trust this content to connect to the internet?" Once I clicked Yes, the PDF opened.

Is there a way to prevent this message from displaying?

Thanks,

Jeremy

Hi, Jeremy -- Thanks for reaching out here, and I agree with Ron. When you publish a course, you will want to upload the published output in the intended environment or where it will ultimately be accessed by your learners.

As described here, "If you view an Articulate Storyline course on your local hard drive (or send it to someone else to view on their local hard drive), you'll encounter security restrictions from the computer, web browser, Flash Player, and network that'll cause various features of your content to fail. To properly test your published content and share it with others, upload it to the environment for which it was published."

Hope that helps and please let us know if issues persist!
