I don´t know how you build this, but I guess you insterted all the audio files into the base layer. Audio files are autoplaying. I would suggest to create seperate layers for each audio file and trigger a layer by clicking on the play button of the song. With the default layer setting to close any other layer you don´t have to trigger to pause a chosen song when you want to switch to the next one.
I build you an example. In the attached file I put each "song" on a seperate layer, with the play button you trigger the layer. Pausing the song is triggered via pausing the timeline of the layer and with the play button of the song you can continue playing the chosen song again. Maybe this helps a little to understand how you could build this. :)
