all elements on slides are not showing once uploaded into an LMS (intermittent problem)

May 01, 2019

We have an odd problem. For a Storyline 360 file, we have 5 slides in the course that are not properly loading all of the elements (text and graphics) that should show in the screen at the end of the timeline. When previewing in Storyline, they show up, once uploaded into the LMS sometimes they show other times they do not (3 people experience the problem, 2 do not). We are all using Chrome to access the file. Has anyone experienced this? Thank you in advance!

Hi, Anne!

That does sound odd, and not what I'd expect to happen. I'm happy to help investigate and have a few more questions:

  • In addition to the Storyline 360 update detail, could you let me know what version of Chrome you're using to view the content?
  • With your permission, I'd like to test your .story file in another LMS environment to see what's happening. If that works for you, you can share the file privately with me here. I'll let you know what I find, and will delete it after troubleshooting.

Thanks to you both! Matthew, we did the articulate 360 update, and saved the file, then republished, then reuploaded to our Absorb LMS. It appears to be working now (all those that saw the issue cannot now). However, I'm not certain how many files it may have impacted. We have just launched over 30 courses, actually it may have impacted over 60 files. Do you believe that resaving, (since the update) and republishing is the answer for all? Would love your insight. thank you!

Appreciate this additional context, Anne!

While I'm glad to hear that updating Storyline 360 helped resolve the issue, I'm with you on getting to the root. Do you know what update you were on before? I think the issue Matthew referred to is when we enhanced Storyline 360 on February 19 to accommodate these browser updates.

In the meantime, I'm reviewing the information you submitted so look out for an email from me shortly. We can continue our conversation here, or in our support case!
