Thanks Adrian! Makes perfect sense. I'm really hoping future iterations of Storyline allow for a project-wide setting (that can then be overriden at the slide level). For example, you can set the variable on slide 1, but that sets it for project-wide and you don't need a slide trigger on every slide.
