Right now I'm on the 30 day free trial of Articulate online and am thrilled I can view the learning objects I create on mobile devices.
I realise that I cannot provide a method of allowing people to download the Storyline learning object via the Articulate Online service -- but I would really like to know how to make it downloadable via hosting it myself.
My understanding is that TinCan and SCORM are two different platforms - so would this be a workable solution?
What I'm looking for is instruction on how to carry out what Articulate Storyline says is a built-in feature - the ability to make the course available for download for offline viewing.
How do mobile users download the course and have an icon appear they click on and view? Do they click on a zip file of some sort from a web site they initially view in their mobile browsers?
When you publish one of the options on the publish dialogue is to make the content downloadable. This will only download into the articulate mobile player for the iPad. for other mobile devices you are stuck with Flash or HTML5 content and no downloading

HI Kerry, even i have a same doubt, i think we can use articulate player to download the build. am not sure. someone need to confirm this.
Yes Mobile player would allow download if enabled when you publish.
Otherwise you could make the CD version downloadable but not via AO
HI Phil
Have you got an example you can point me to of a TinCat downloadable version? I would like to see it in action and the tutorial http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/publishing-a-project-for-ipad-or-html5.aspx is incomplete.
The CD version wouldn't work as I'm after a way of making TinCat versions available via mobile.
Also, whom would I ask to see when Articulate plans on supporting the majority of mobile phone users and supporting this working on Android devices.
Cheers

You should be able to upload to Scormcloud if you want to see it in action.
I dont think anyone at articulate will give you a timescale on their support for other mobile devices, I think it is a company policy.

The tutoral on publishing for web provides SOME instruction, http://community.articulate.com/tutorials/products/publishing-a-project-for-web.aspx but doesn't say how to make the package downloadable and installable for mobile devices.
