Alt-Text Does Not Work
Aug 04, 2014
Hi Heroes,
I'm using the Alt-Text option to describe text but it does not show up on the published course.
I describe the graphic and enable the check-box.
I published as a SCORM 1.2 and tested on SCORM Cloud, Litmos, and Plateau.
I used IE 11, IE 11 compatibility mode, Chrome, and Firefox.
When I hover the mouse courser over the published graphic I get no text pop-up/
Thoughts?

Hi Rick,
The alt text feature is to be used in conjunction with screen readers such as Jaws. You'll see how it's described here within the size and position window for use with screen readers, which may be a bit different than alt text that you would see in a standard web page.
You could create something similar to what you are wanting to accomplish through the use of different states. Add the text you want to appear inside the objects hover state (you'll have to create one).
Thanks both of you.
I'm running into some 508-compliance issues and the client is looking for the text as they hover over the graphic.
Have a good one!
