Amazon S3
Oct 16, 2018
Hi ,
I have recently signed up to Articulate 360 and have a question about hosting storyline projects on Amazon S3.
I have successfully managed to upload a project but all the info/tutorials I seem to find online suggests that I need to make my folder public. Is there a way to make projects private and require a password to view? A lot of the projects we do have sensitive information in so having the public wouldn’t be allowed.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Donna

I think all the files and folders need to be public, so the player can find and access them. That being said, I think there is a way to set the access to story.html, which may be what you want.
Hi Donna,
I've only set up public courses myself in Amazon S3, and Walt is correct that all the files/folders would need to be public so that it's accessible.
I'll be curious to hear what other ideas are shared here on how to set up a password protection!
Having the same issue. There must be some solution, and I have tinkered with S3's bucket policy on how to limit access based on http referrer. I can't make it work and hasn't found a solution. I see posts about similar issues with the bucket policy dating back to 2010 but still can't find anything that would help. Is there anybody out there who might have made it work?
