Amp Launch Being Discontinued?

Jul 08, 2020

I have heard that the Articulate Mobile Player, which enables offline viewing, is being discontinued once Flash is retired. Is this true? I hope not. We rely on offline viewing, but we cannot burn our courses to CDs.

Hello Patrick and welcome to E-Learning Heroes :)

Thanks so much for reaching out and voicing your concern over the Articulate Mobile Player. Since AMP courses rely on Flash output, there won't be an option to view courses offline when Adobe discontinues Flash on December 31, 2020.

I've sent your request for this feature to our product team, and I'll let you know as soon as we have more info to share about offline viewing options.

When you publish to CD, this allows for local viewing. The content does not have to be burned to a CD. It's more about how you will then distribute the content: After publishing, you can burn the output to a CD or DVD, copy it to a USB drive, or upload it to a shared network drive.

Your question posed here looks like a great way to poll the community on how they are handling any offline content requirements.
