Analytics: How can I include Java Script in my global html file automatically

Sep 24, 2015

Hi everyone,

I'm curious about two things:

1. What do you use to track user behaviour?

2. I would like to use google analytics, but it's timely to add a snippet of javacode to every html5 file.

Help, thanks.

This thread may help, it talks about how to load external JavaScript libraries into Storyline. Steve Flowers goes into detail about how to have a javascript trigger that adds code to your HTML document if its not there already. That way it loads automatically and you dont have to edit your html5 file every time.

I ended up utilizing this method in my Background Music Demo to insert and <audio> tag into the base .html file. You could download the .story file from that to see how I set up the triggers, it is the Version 2 of that example.

Hope this helps!
