Our tablets are 100% network disabled due to security requirements. We can side load APKs manually with no issue via sync cables. Is it possible to drag and drop presentations from our development computer via a sync cable to an Android tablet? We want our students to self study/quiz themselves after hours using these tablets.
You can probably side load the Mobile Player App (because that's an .apk), and HTML5-published Storyline content onto your tablets filesystem. However, the Player app requires content to be launched and downloaded from an URL at least once. I'm not sure if you could launch local (on the tablet's filesystem) HTML5 content in the tablet's browser.
FYI, I just tried to load HTML5 content directly onto my Android device's filesystem. The file transfer worked, but clicking the .story.html page only shows a blank screen. I guess that's because Javascripts are blocked when run locally. If you figure out a way to do this, please let me know.
Pretty straight forward. In order for this to work, you will need root access to move/copy files but once in place, the end user does not need any special privileges.
1. Run a presentation once with a tablet which has network connectivity. Choose "Download for offline viewing". This will create a directory in the "storage/emulated/0" directory of your tablet called "iOSPlayer" which contains all the files required to run/view the presentation offline.
2. Sideload the Articulate Player on the non-networked client tablet to install it.
3. Copy the iOSPlayer directory to the "storage/emulated/0" directory.
Some tablets may vary but once the iOSPlayer folder is in the correct location, Articulate will find it and run the presentations without any issues (that I could find)
Perhaps Articulate could offer another publishing option which allows this process natively....

Loading the trial version now to goof around with it. Will post any results.
Thanks for the help!
