thanks for your solution, however I would really prefer not to create even more shapes. My Timeline is already quite stuffed and I need to animate it all. Having to deal with 2-3 shapes just for one arrow will clutter it even further.
Hi, yes, good point. Could you create it in PowerPoint and then import it? Arrows and boxes are imported as separate objects so can have triggers, animations, etc. assigned to them.

You can add an arrow to a freeform by format painting over from a standard line

At least now I have some options. I hope Articulate will code in the possibility to add arrows to freeform-lines without workarounds.
