Animated Menu - PERPLEXED!
Aug 24, 2016
Hi folks
Looking to understand something about the animated menu demos I've been looking through here. Two GREAT examples I would like to emulate are David Anderson's Animated Menu Navigation and eLEarning.net's Mobile eLearning Design (which was found posted on the community).
HERE'S WHAT I CAN'T FIGURE OUT:
How does the menu come in (presumably on a layer), still showing the content that was just viewed (presumably on another layer)?
If you put the menu on a layer, it would always show the Base Layer items, unless you've hidden them.
Despite thread participants asking for the source file, neither author was willing to share. Can someone please explain how this works? Really LOVE the idea, but I just can't figure it out by myself!
Thank you!!

UPDATE
Of course it would take way too much time and an unnecessary community post to figure it out.
The Layer options are set to automatically have "Hide Other Layers" checked off.
Uncheck it. The last layer you were viewing will still show behind the "menu" layer.
Thanks for the update, Erin! Glad you were able to get it working to your liking. Don't hesitate to reach out here if you have more questions. :)
I know I've seen an example .story file with this menu floating around here in the discussion forums, and I've even edited a version of it, but I can't find it, which is frustrating...
